2011 Tournament in Review


       Third-ranked Brebeuf Jesuit edged No. 8 Columbus
     North on a tiebreaker for the team title and Warsaw’s Tyler
     Ostrom claimed the individual championship during the
     75th Annual IHSAA Boys Golf State Finals at The Legends
     Golf Club in Franklin.
       Brebeuf Jesuit (288-303-591) claimed the title on the
     fifth score tiebreaker after the Braves finished even with
     Columbus North (283-308-591) at 591 each after 36
     holes of play. It was the second consecutive team title for
     Brebeuf Jesuit and coach Ryan Brammer and just the
     second time in tournament history that the championship
     was decided by the fifth player score. Columbus North also
     finished as the runner-up to Lafayette Jefferson in 1987 on
     a tiebreaker.

                                          ing seven on the front nine to tie a state finals and course
                                          record with a 63 (-9). His only bogey came on No. 18.  The
                                          junior shares the record with Tyler Duncan of Columbus
                                          North who fired a 63 during the final round of the 2007
                                          state finals.
